PRODUCTS

All Triarch products incorporate water based technology, which contributes to a small carbon footprint. Additionally Triarch products are engineered to have low VOC content. Some products meet the criteria established under LEED EQ Credit 4.2 (Low Emitting Materials).  All Triarch products deliver a long term life cycle, reducing or eliminating the need to repaint or to replace vinyl wallcovering. Triarch products do not significantly contribute to land fill volume, as Triarch materials are not removed from walls; rather are simply re-coated, becoming part of the substrate. If the products were to be removed, they are biodegradable and require no special disposal handling. All Triarch materials are highly mold & mildew resistant and vapor permeable. This is significant in that Triarch products do not trap moisture within the wall assembly and help to contribute to an overall positive Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).

Indoor Air Quality

Indoor air quality (IAQ) problems in facilities located in hot, humid climates are overwhelmingly caused by the combination of poor building design & construction practices; resulting in high indoor humidity levels and moisture intrusion. When outdoor humidity levels are high, moisture will intrude into a building's envelope and the interior occupied space; mildew will grow - and so will complaints from the occupants.

Mold & mildew, a consequence of high humidity levels, adds significantly to the deterioration of coatings and other interior items such as carpeting, wallboard, and most FFE items. This can lead to substantially shorted life cycle on FFE items, room closures, as well as potential costly litigation.

Triarch products, particularly Duroplex and Plexture contribute to a positive Indoor Air Quality by providing a vapor permeable wall finish that does not trap humidity. Both materials, Duroplex and Plexture carry a warranty against the growth of mold or mildew on either material, Field Bulletin 060203 Duroplex in Tropical Environments.

Product Composition

The primary ingredients for Triarch materials are natural aggregates (quartzite), water based acrylic resins, and pigment (refer to MSDS sheets for additional information).

Low Voc

All TRIARCH products enjoy a low VOC rating. Advantage Gold. Some Triarch products also meet the criteria established under LEED EQ Credit 4.2 (low Emitting Materials).    No matter what color Triarch finish you choose; it's green (Brochure).

End of Useful Life

Triarch products are typically not recycled as they are typically left in place becoming part of the substrate and re-coated. If they were to be removed, they are biodegradable and require no special handling.
